The report highlighted that support for the Interior Cabinet Secretary was particularly strong in the Rift Valley, Eastern and Nairobi regions.

The survey, conducted on October 9, 2024, involved interviews with 1,000 Kenyans across all 47 counties.

The deputy president scored 42 per cent on communicating to Kenyans what they are doing and on competency. 

The Interior boss performed best on service delivery, competency and communication.

Among the tops reasons for the rating are the high cost of living, unemployment, poor governance and poverty.

Other leaders who made it to the list were Isiolo's Mumina Gollo and Garissa's Amina Udgoon who were ranked joint 24th with a score of 42 per cent.

Mohamed was ranked 13 as Wajir Governor Ahmed Abdullahi and his Garissa counterpart Nathif Jama missed out on the list.
