Thirteen others recuperating at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH), the government has confirmed.

Elgeyo Marakwet Governor Wisley Rotich said the Sunday night incident was triggered by persistent torrential rains.

A second landslide engulfed others who had gathered to help those affected by the first landslide.
