In its latest assessment of the 2025/26 budget proposals, the PBO called for urgent measures to ensure the efficient use of borrowed funds.

The committee's task includes identifying viable PPP projects, such as the expansion of the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport airfield.

The report, presented on October 1, reveals that the loans were sourced from both multilateral and bilateral lenders.

The loans were signed between April 24, 2017 and December 15, 2022.
