Governor Sakaja, MP Yusuf and area MCAs visited the settlement on Tuesday evening, distributing blankets, mattresses, dry foods, and other necessities to people affected by the floods.
Among the bridges slated for reconstruction are the Huruma-Gateway bridge, Ngumba Bridge, Ngomongo, Githathuru footbridge, Kiambui to City Carton, and Kiambiu to Jericho.
Leading the project are local youths who opted to construct a makeshift bridge following the aftermath of the flood's devastation, which left many confined to their homes.
