While giving his tribute at All Saints Cathedral, Dr Jorry Odede said his wife succumbed to cancer after months of diagnosis and treatment.

With over 30 years of experience as a litigator in private practice, Odede also provided pro-bono legal services in human rights.

Commission Vice Chairperson Raymond Nyeris made the announcement on Saturday morning.

The rights body is pushing for talks to end the strike and wants the immediate end of threats by the government.

Commission chair Roseline Odede said the organisation needs at least Sh992.82 million for financial year 2024/25.
