Principal Magistrate Kivuti was shot several times while in her seat inside her makeshift courtroom last week, raising concerns about the safety of judicial officials, hence the measures by the Judiciary.
They say they travelled long distances for the hearing of their cases, thinking only the Makadara Law Courts in Nairobi would be affected following the fatal shooting of Principal Magistrate Monica Kivuti.
IG Koome added that police stations assign protective safety and security duties to the judiciary officers throughout the country.
In her statement, the CJ emphasised that the Judiciary continues to mourn the loss of Kivuti.
The Magistrate was shot in the court on Thursday afternoon soon after she had delivered a ruling in a case involving the wife of the senior officer.
