The healthcare system has long been overburdened and underfunded, but it has ground to a near halt after about 7,000 professionals walked off the job.
Led by party leader Raila Odinga, they accuse the government of responding inadequately to a serious crisis.
The plea comes amidst growing concerns over the prolonged delay in deploying newly qualified healthcare professionals across the country.
The graduates say some of them have waited up to seven months, a circumstance which disrupts their career progression and affects the delivery of healthcare services.
