Former Deputy Inspector General of Police, Noor Gabow has been handed the role of Consular General for the yet-to-be-established Consulate in Haiti.

The charges are in relation to Sh351,097,491 spent on advertising by the county government during Wa Iria's first term as governor.

His lawyers led by Azimio coalition co-principals Kalonzo Musyoka and Eugene Wamalwa insisted that wa Iria's prosecution is an attack on democracy.

The suspects were to face fraud charges in relation to Sh351,097, 491 spent for advertising by the county government between 2014 and 2017.

The order prevents actions against Wa Iria by the EACC, ODPP and DCI in a Sh140 million graft investigation.
