On Monday, the government acquired two new passport printing machines to aid in fast passport production.

The new machines are capable of printing 600 passports per hour.

Out of the 87,000 uncollected passports, 50,000 alone are from Nairobi.

The Members of Parliament urged the government to open more immigration offices across the country to make it easier to acquire passports.
