Police IG Douglas Kanja Stories

EACC chairman David Oginde challenged Douglas Kanja to be the first police IG to decisively root out corruption in the force.

The brutality by police officers, coupled with the ever-present and corrosive corruption undermines public trust.

Specialised police units will intensify patrols around shopping malls, places of worship, and other critical infrastructure in urban areas.

Kanja called for funding to enhance CCTV installation along major roads to curb crime. 

He urged Kanja to uphold the integrity of the police force and ensure equal treatment for all citizens under the law.

Kanja brings nearly four decades of law enforcement experience to his new role.
