On Wednesday, President William Ruto met with leaders from Chad, Mali, Guinea-Bissau, and Togo to discuss bilateral and continental matters, particularly lobbying for Raila Odinga's candidacy for the African Union Commission (AUC) chairperson position.
"I have listened to the people on the ground and they are in support of Raila Odinga's candidature," the DP said.
He expressed his aspiration for the people of Africa to directly experience the positive impact of the African Union (AU) in their daily lives.
Present are several regional Heads of State and other dignitaries invited by President William Ruto.
Thus far, Raila's competition is Djibouti Foreign minister Mahamoud Ali Youssouf and Somalia's former Foreign minister Fawzia Yusuf.
