Kenya aims to achieve the goal of planting 15 billion trees by 2032 in efforts to mitigate the harsh impact of climate change in the country.
Government agencies and ministries have been tasked with integrating tree planting into their operations.

The exercise is part of Kenya’s Landscape and Ecosystem Restoration Programme which aims at growing 15 billion trees by 2032.
The Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Forestry has targeted at least 100 million seedlings to be planted on Monday.
Interior CS Kithure Kindiki has declared Monday, November 13, as a public holiday dedicated to nationwide tree-planting activities.
