Wambui Nyutu was removed from the Vice Chairperson position by NCIC for her alleged continued involvement in partisan political activities.

In a statement on Wednesday, Nyutu said she only found out about her dismissal through media reports, calling the move repressive and unlawful.

NCIC Chairperson Samuel Kobia said Nyutu’s conduct had become “untenable” and incompatible with her constitutional and statutory responsibilities.
