A detective from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) tragically died on Wednesday, having shot himself at the DCI headquarters along Kiambu Road. DCI Director Mohammed Amin confirmed the incident, and an investigation is ongoing. Colleagues heard the gunshot and discovered the detective's lifeless body in his car. His remains have been transferred to a mortuary for a postmortem examination. This incident follows a similar case just a week prior when another police officer, attached to the Special Operations Bureau (SOB), also died after self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chin.
