Kenya Airways warns of flight disruptions at JKIA due to military drills

To keep travellers informed, Kenya Airways urged customers to check the airline's website for real-time flight status updates.
Kenya Airways (KQ) has announced minor disruptions to flight operations at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) due to runway closures for military drills in preparation for Jamhuri Day celebrations.
The airline assured passengers that it is working to minimise delays and expects normal operations to resume by 7 pm on Thursday.

In a statement on X, Kenya Airways apologised for the inconvenience caused by the temporary disruptions, emphasising its commitment to ensuring passenger comfort and safety.
"Due to the runway closure at JKIA for military drills relating to Jamhuri Day celebrations, we anticipate minor disruptions for some of our flight departures and arrivals at JKIA. We anticipate recovering our normal operations by 7 pm," read the statement.

Passengers were also advised to contact the airline's Customer Excellence team for assistance through multiple channels, including phone (+254711024747), WhatsApp (+254705474747), and X (@KQSupport).
"Rest assured, our customers' and staff's safety and well-being are our top priorities. We are unwavering in our commitment to providing a safe and comfortable travel experience for you," added KQ.
