Tickets for Kenya's matches against Angola, Morocco sold out

Tickets for Harambee Stars' final group-stage match against Zambia, set for August 17, go on sale today, Wednesday, via the CAF ticketing portal.
Fans hoping to catch Harambee Stars live in their next two Group A fixtures at the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) will have to make do with their television screens after match tickets were declared sold out.
According to organisers, all available tickets for Kenya's Thursday clash against Angola and the high-stakes encounter against Morocco on Sunday at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, were purchased by Tuesday morning.
Both the Sh200 Ordinary and Sh500 Silver ticket categories were quickly taken up, echoing the excitement seen during Kenya's opening match against DR Congo last weekend, which also drew a capacity crowd.

The upgraded stadium now holds 48,000 spectators, down from its previous 60,000 capacity, following recent renovations ahead of the continental tournament.

Kenya made a dream start to the tournament on Sunday, securing a hard-fought 1–0 victory over two-time champions DR Congo in front of a sold-out crowd at Kasarani.
A composed first-half finish by Austin Odhiambo proved decisive in a tightly contested opener. Backed by a roaring home crowd of 60,000 fans, the Harambee Stars overcame early nerves to announce their arrival on the continental stage in emphatic fashion.
The biennial CHAN tournament, reserved for players competing in their domestic leagues, is designed to spotlight emerging local talent.
The victory marked Kenya's first-ever CHAN win and made them just the third debutant nation to claim victory in their opening fixture of the tournament.
"I'm proud of my team - many of them were stepping onto such a big stage for the first time. Beating one of the tournament favourites is massive for us. We were nervous at the start, but once the boys settled, they showed real bravery," said head coach Benni McCarthy after the victory.
"Austine Odhiambo showed great composure and skill to give us the lead just before the break. That was the perfect time to score – just when they thought we'd head in level."
The Stars will be aiming to become the first debutant side since Madagascar (2022) to win their first two CHAN matches, when they take on Angola on Thursday.
A win for the Stars will all but guarantee them a place in the tournament's knockout rounds.
