Islamic scholar Mufti Menk leads Friday prayers at Jamia Mosque

Hundreds of Muslims gathered to listen to his sermon themed "Echoes of Enlightenment".
Renowned Muslim scholar and motivational speaker, Sheikh Ismail Ibn Musa Menk, commonly known as Mufti Menk, commenced a three-day visit to Kenya on Friday for Islamic lectures.
On the first day of his visit, Mufti Ismail Menk delivered the Friday Khutbah and led the Jummah Prayers at Jamia Mosque Nairobi.

Hundreds of Muslims gathered to listen to his sermon themed "Echoes of Enlightenment," which was also broadcast live by the mosque's Horizon TV.
Mufti Menk was hosted for breakfast earlier by the Jamia Mosque Committee, along with Athman Abdulhalim Hussein, the Chief Kadhi of the Republic of Kenya, and other senior Muslim leaders.
Later in the day, following Maghrib prayers, Mufti presented a lecture at Parklands Mosque and Madrassa Trust.
His itinerary on Saturday includes visits to Masjid Al-Huda and Masjid Rahma in Hurlingham for lectures before and after Maghrib prayers, respectively.
He will conclude his visit to Nairobi on Sunday delivering a concluding lecture at Adams Masjid along Ngong Road during Dhuhr prayers.

Mufti, who hails from from Zimbabwe, is renowned for his lectures on various Islamic topics, emphasising the importance of understanding the Quran and the Hadith, and practical applications of Islamic teachings in daily life.
Currently serving the Zimbabwe Council of Islamic Scholars (Majlisul Ulama Zimbabwe), Mufti focuses on the educational needs of Zimbabwe's Muslim population.
Known for his simple and humble lifestyle, he is dedicated to spreading Islamic teachings to as many people as possible.
Active on social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube, Mufti engages a large following, regularly sharing videos and articles on various Islamic topics.
