Nairobi Water Company introduces new short code to enhance customer service

Customers can now easily register or de-register for e-bills, update their contact information, query and pay their bills, apply for water and sewer services, and check the status of their applications.

Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company (NCWSC) has introduced an upgraded short code to improve service delivery for its customers.

The new Self Care USSD Code, *260#, to facilitate ease of service delivery.

With this enhanced shortcode, customers can now easily register or de-register for e-bills, update their contact information, query and pay their bills, apply for water and sewer services, and check the status of their applications.

While unveiling the code on Monday, NCWSC Managing Director Nahashon Muguna highlighted the significance of the new code, calling it a major step forward in improving the customer experience.

"This marks a significant step in ensuring seamless access to our services," he said.

Further, the company has a toll-free line 0800724366 which will ensure customers can reach the call centre at no cost.

"These advancements have been adopted and implemented reflecting the company's commitment to leveraging on technology for better customer service and processes," Muguna added.

Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company (NWSC) is responsible for providing and managing water and sewerage services across Nairobi.

As the city's designated water and sewerage service provider, NWSC is committed to improving its services in line with several key frameworks and plans.

The company aligns its operations with the Constitution of Kenya 2010 and the National Water Master Plan 2030, which was established by the Government of Kenya in 2013.

NWSC also participates in important multi-sectoral projects aimed at ensuring sustainable water and sanitation management for all.

These efforts are guided by the Kenyan economic blueprint Vision 2030, the Nairobi Integrated Urban Development Masterplan (NIUPLAN), the County's Strategic Plan (2015-2025), the Nairobi County Integrated Development Plan (2018-2022), and the Sustainable Development Goals under Agenda 2030, specifically Agenda Six.
