Detectives in Mombasa County are investigating the circumstances surrounding a 35-year-old man's fall from a fourth-floor balcony at his rented apartment in the Kadzandani area.

The incident has left the man hospitalised with multiple fractures.

According to the police report, the incident unfolded when three unidentified individuals alleged to be his friends arrived at the man's residence at Executive Apartments.

The caretaker, who witnessed the fall, described a scene of panic. "I saw a man land on the cabros at my workplace. I was shocked to realise it was one of our tenants," the caretaker recounted.

Upon arriving at the scene, detectives spoke with the injured man's wife.

She explained that she heard a knock at the door and went to answer it.

Her husband, who was peeping from the bedroom window, suddenly dashed to the balcony and leapt over the railing, plunging to the ground below.

Witnesses reported that the three visitors fled the scene immediately after the fall.

Neighbours, who watched the commotion unfold from a distance, were left in shock and confusion. The man's wife could not provide any information on the identity or motive of the three men, adding to the mystery of the incident.

Fortunately, the man survived the fall but sustained several broken limbs. He was quickly rushed to Coast General Hospital, where he is currently recovering.

The police have yet to establish the motive behind the man's actions and are actively searching for the three individuals who visited the apartment.

"We are investigating all possible angles to determine what led to this incident," said a senior detective who is part of the investigation team.

"The cooperation of the public will be crucial in identifying and locating these individuals."

The case has sparked concern among residents of the area. "We are all anxious to know what really happened and why," said a neighbor who requested anonymity. "It is not something you see every day."1
