He cites the lack of basic amenities, including body armour, helmets, and vehicles, a factor that he says makes their job very dangerous.
The officer also expresses frustration over the absence of hardship allowances and other essential resources.
"This situation is a disaster in waiting. We want the authorities, including the Interior CS [Kithure Kindiki) and our leadership, to address these critical issues. It is inhumane to expect us to work under these conditions without the necessary support," Inspector Malingi says in the video.
He also appeals directly to Kilifi leaders, urging them to take up the matter with higher authorities to ensure officers working in volatile areas receive the necessary support and protection.
In a post on the social media platform, Facebook, on Wednesday, MP Baya acknowledged the gravity of the situation and assured immediate action.
"Many of you have forwarded me this cry-for-help video of Inspector Robert Dzombo Malingi. I am currently in touch with Inspector Dzombo and I am doing all I can, in collaboration with senior officers at the police department, to get him help. I am doing my very best," Baya stated.
