Governor Sakaja commissions newly tarmacked roads in Eastleigh North
He reassured residents of his administration's commitment to delivering tangible progress and enhancing the quality of doing business in Kamukunji Constituency.
In a significant development for residents of Eastleigh, Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja, inaugurated the completion of several roads in California ward and Eastleigh at large earlier today.
The governor was accompanied by several members of the Nairobi County Assembly and Kamukunji Member of Parliament, Yusuf Hassan.

His visit saw the official opening of Seventh Street, Ninth Street, Waudo Street, and Timboroa Street.
Governor Sakaja, alongside local leaders, also took the opportunity to engage with business owners along Yusuf Hajji Road, emphasizing the importance of infrastructure improvements for economic growth.
Expressing gratitude for the long-awaited improvements, Eastleigh North MCA Ahmed Kadar commended the governor for addressing the deteriorating condition of Seventh and Ninth Streets. He highlighted the significance of Seventh Street as the heart of Eastleigh, where many Muslims gather for prayers. Kadar expressed hope that more roads within the ward would be tarmacked in future.

Yusuf lauded the initiative as a milestone, noting that it marked the first time Eastleigh roads had been tarmacked under a Nairobi governor's leadership.
The MP pledged his commitment to working with Governor Sakaja to enhance the development of Nairobi County. He further acknowledged Eastleigh's substantial contribution to Nairobi County's revenue.
"I will work with the governor to take Nairobi to the next level," said the MP, urging the governor to prioritize additional road projects to support the area's economic vitality.

Governor Sakaja affirmed his dedication to improving Eastleigh's infrastructure, acknowledging its pivotal role in Nairobi's economy.
"Kamukunji Constituency is the second biggest revenue provider for Nairobi," said Sakaja.
He also underscored the importance of investing in development and announced plans to address traffic congestion by implementing one-way street systems.
Sakaja further pledged to undertake further development initiatives across the constituency.
He inspected Sixth and Eighth Streets, which have been in a sorry state for a long time, identifying them as priority areas for future improvements.
