The mystery surrounding the Eastleigh robbery deepens with the discovery of Esther's body at the City Mortuary.
Last week, the remains of other suspects, Fredrick Kopo, alias 'Frik', and Jaylan Kibe, were also found at the same mortuary after being retrieved from various locations.
According to sources, Esther was romantically involved with the prime suspect, Kopo, and was part of the group accompanying him to purchase a vehicle in Mombasa.
Reportedly, just four days after the robbery, Kopo, Kibe, and Esther journeyed to Mombasa intending to buy a car.
However, their plans took a tragic turn when they encountered three individuals who allegedly offered them a better deal on a vehicle.
Trusting the strangers, they followed them to a showroom in Mombasa, marking the last time they were seen alive.
The circumstances surrounding how the bodies of Kopo, Kibe, and Esther ended up in Nairobi County and who retrieved them from their initial location remain unclear.
However, reports suggest that their bodies were initially discovered near a river in Lari, Kiambu County, before being recovered by the police and taken to the mortuary.
Sources indicate that Kopo sustained severe injuries, including a missing eye and a broken leg.
Investigators, linking him to the scene of the shooting, allege he was the one who inflicted serious injury to Adan by pulling the trigger.
Jaylan Kibe was laid to rest on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr, following Muslim customs.
It has also come to light that Kopo, Kibe, and Esther were childhood friends who grew up in different neighbourhoods within Nairobi.
A quick search online reveals that Esther (Bobo) was exposed last year for theft in a Facebook group after stealing a phone and Sh20,000 from a man in an Airbnb.
On Thursday, three people allegedly involved in the robbery were taken to court by the police.
The three, Julius Osoro, his wife Charity Njeri Kimani and John Michael Muturi were arrested at the Greenpark estate in Athi River, Machakos County, on Tuesday.
They will remain in custody for 10 days as investigations continue.
Sergeant Frederick Obiero of the Starehe DCI office had applied to detain the three amid the probe into the robbery, in line with Section 295 as read with 296 (2) of the Penal Code.
Obiero wants to establish whether the gun found on the three was used to shoot Adan Ali Mohamed during the ambush reported at the Eastleigh North Police Station, via OB26/30/3/2024.
He said the gun will be taken to ballistics experts at the DCI's headquarters for analysis.
