In a celebration of academic excellence, Kamukunji Constituency witnessed the remarkable achievements of its top-performing students in the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examinations. Nthoki Brian Musau, a student of Moi Forces Academy, Eastleigh Airbase, emerged as the highest scorer in the constituency, securing an impressive 416 marks out of the possible 500.
Brian Musau's exceptional performance was not only a testament to his academic prowess but also a reflection of his high discipline, dedication, and hard work. His mother, overwhelmed with joy and gratitude, praised her son's achievement, attributing it to divine intervention. "I am thankful to God for blessing my son with these outstanding marks. Brian's discipline, dedication, and hard work have truly paid off. I believe he is destined for even greater heights if he continues on this path," she remarked.

In the same constituency, California Integrated Academy emerged as an academic powerhouse, producing the second-best student and boasting an impressive overall performance. Ruweida Mohamed Harun, a student at California Integrated Academy, secured the second position with an outstanding score of 415 marks, while Sundus Ahmed Abdi, also from the same institution, posted an impressive 414 marks.
California Integrated Academy CEO Abdirahman Shibli. expressed immense pride in the students' achievements. "We are thrilled to see our students excel, with over 20 of them scoring more than 400 marks. This is a testament to the dedication of our teachers and the conducive learning environment we provide," the proprietor stated.
California Integrated Academy, with a total of 95 candidates, achieved an exceptional mean grade of 385, showcasing the institution's commitment to academic excellence.
Meanwhile, in a broader context, the nation celebrated the outstanding performance of Michael Warutere from Riara Springs Academy, who emerged as the top student nationwide, scoring an impressive 428 marks in the KCPE examinations.
Education CS Ezekiel Machogu, during the official release of the KCPE results, congratulated all the students for their hard work and dedication. "These results are a testament to the efforts of our students, teachers, and parents. I congratulate each student for their remarkable achievements, and I encourage them to continue pursuing excellence in their education journey," he stated.
Additionally, CS Machogu announced that the 9,354 candidates who missed sitting for the KCPE exams would be given a second chance. "The council shall organize for KCPE candidates who had registered but were unable to sit their exams to do so after 30 days," he said, emphasising the government's commitment to providing equal opportunities for all students.
