Notably, he emphasized the factory's commitment to directly purchasing nuts from farmers, eliminating the exploitation that previously occurred through middlemen.
Ambassador Ali Abbas, the County Secretary, lauded the initiation of the cashew nut value chain project, considering it a beacon of hope for farmers striving to secure a decent livelihood from their crops. He highlighted the factory's significance in Governor Issa Timamy's vision, which aims to foster industries that generate employment opportunities and contribute to Lamu's economic growth.
