The video shows Rayan with visible injuries, pleading for mercy as an unidentified individual wearing white medical gloves hits and kicks her. In the footage, she can be heard begging for her life, saying, "Please do not kill me, I am ready to pay your money, spare my life in the name of God."
The disturbing nature of the video has stirred emotions among social media users, especially on TikTok and has raised concerns about safety in the city.
Rayan is currently receiving medical treatment at a local hospital, where she shared more details about the incident.
She stated that she was stabbed several times in her back and shoulders but did not disclose the identities of her attackers.
"They are thugs," Rayan said, explaining that she was placed in a sack and taken to an unknown location before being rescued by good Samaritans in Eastleigh's Section Three.
Eastleigh Voice has confirmed that Rayan had filed a report at the California Police Station on Saturday evening. She said that she had obtained a P3 form, necessary for documenting injuries in assault cases, and is prepared to cooperate with authorities in pursuing action against her attackers.
An anonymous source familiar with the incident revealed that the assault might have been orchestrated by one of Rayan's customers.
Rayan, who sells cosmetic products and works as a salonist, reportedly received an order for goods worth Sh35,000.
Concerned about the safety of her products, she chose to deliver them herself rather than entrusting the task to a rider.
Upon arriving at a residential building in Eastleigh's Section Three, she was forced into a room, where a group of individuals attacked her.
Following the attack, rumours circulated last week suggesting that Rayan had died. However, she was later located in the hospital where she was receiving medical treatment.
At California Police Station on Saturday, Rayan appeared exhausted and unwell. She shared images of her injuries, including stab wounds on her back and shoulders.
The incident has raised fears among Eastleigh residents about personal safety. Many expressed concerns about increasing violence in the area, particularly after Saturday's incident in which a 25-year-old man was killed by a motorbike-riding assailant.
Police are also currently investigating the involvement of Hashim Dagane, in the killing of four women in Eastleigh last month.
The assault on Rayan, alongside these other incidents, has heightened anxiety among residents, who now fear venturing out at night or spending time in areas perceived as unsafe.
The public has called for heightened security measures in Eastleigh to address the recent wave of violence and ensure the safety of community members.
