State agencies directed to set up e-Agent accounts on eCitizen for bulk payments

To assist with the rollout, NTSA said it has established dedicated help desks at its headquarters, regional offices and all Huduma Centres.
All government agencies have been directed to create e-Agent accounts on the eCitizen platform to streamline and improve the efficiency of bulk service payments.
The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) on Wednesday announced that the eCitizen platform has now been enabled to support bulk payment processing through an e-Agent account system, designed for use by both national and county government institutions.

“The eCitizen platform has been enabled to support the processing of bulk payments for various services through an e-Agent account,” the Authority said in a statement.
To facilitate the creation of an e-Agent account, NTSA has directed government agencies to submit an official letter addressed to the director-general. The letter must include the national identification number of the proposed Agent, their registered mobile number, and their official email address. Additionally, the agency must provide its own official email and phone contact details.
NTSA clarified that the appointed agent may be the officer responsible for transport management or the officer with access to the agency’s NTSA service portal.
The official request letter must be accompanied by a coloured passport photo of the agent. The soft copies of both the letter and photo are to be sent to [email protected].
“Upon creation of the e-Agent account, the agency/entity/institution and the agent will be notified through the email addresses indicated on the request letter,” NTSA said.
“Relevant information on the use of the e-Agent account shall be sent to the Entity and Agent through [email protected].”
To assist with the rollout, NTSA said it has established dedicated help desks at its headquarters, regional offices and all Huduma Centres. These will support agencies throughout the account creation and activation process.
“We look forward to giving all entities necessary support as they endeavour to implement the directive by the Chief of Staff and Head of the Public Service before the Friday, 29th August 2025 deadline,” the Authority said.
NTSA confirmed that the service is free of charge and the account creation process will take only one working day.
