KUCCPS directs universities, colleges to submit courses for 2026 placements

The Placement Service has also requested Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) to submit its approved programmes and capacities for publication in the online placement system ahead of the 2026 placement exercise.

Universities and colleges have been directed to submit their courses and student capacities as the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) prepares for the placement of the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) class and candidates from previous years into higher learning institutions.

In a letter dated October 6, 2025 and addressed to Vice Chancellors and Principals of university colleges, KUCCPS Chief Executive Officer Agnes Mercy Wahome asked institutions to declare their programmes online through the KUCCPS placement system, a process officially referred to as Declaration of Programmes and Capacities.

“Please note that the declared programmes must be those currently offered by your institution and duly accredited by the Commission for University Education (CUE), or by the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA) in the case of TVET programmes,” Wahome said.

KUCCPS has sent similar letters to Principals of National Polytechnics, Technical and Vocational Colleges, Technical Training Institutes, Institutes of Technology and Secondary Teacher Training Colleges.

The Placement Service has also requested Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) to submit its approved programmes and capacities for publication in the online placement system ahead of the 2026 placement exercise.

Wahome made a similar request to the Kenya School of Law, whose Diploma in Law (Paralegal Studies) programme was filled this year after being introduced on the KUCCPS system for the first time.

The declaration of programmes and capacities will run from October 6 to October 31, 2025.

A total of 996,078 candidates have registered for KCSE this year, while 1,298,089 candidates will sit for KPSEA.
