Julius Migos Ogamba: Machogu's running mate nominated as Education CS
The two, Ogamba and Machogu, were vying on the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party ticket but lost to ODM's Simba Arati.
President William Ruto on Friday announced his first batch of Cabinet nominees after what he termed as wide consultation with the aim of forming a "broad-based" government.
Among the nominees is Julius Migos Ogamba, who in 2022 had the hopes to join county government but as running mate for former CS Ezekiel Machogu who was then contesting for the Kisii Gubernatorial race. And two years later, Ogamba is now replacing Machogu who was fired from the docket this month after intense protests against Ruto's government.
