CAF delegation completes inspection of Kenyan facilities for CHAN 2025

A CAF delegation has completed its final inspection of Kenyan stadiums ahead of the 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN), set to be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania next month.

A CAF team led by Director of Competitions Samson Adamu completed a two-day inspection of Kenyan stadiums on Wednesday 8 January. The visit reviewed preparations for the African Nations Championship (CHAN), set to run from February 1 to 28.

Nyayo National Stadium and Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, are Kenya’s primary venues.

Football Kenya Federation (FKF) President Hussein Mohammed said most requirements had been met, but some areas need final touches. “The inspections went well. This was the last visit ahead of next week’s draw,” he said.

The CHAN draw is scheduled for January 15 at Nairobi’s Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC).

Hussein expressed optimism, stating that while some work remains at key venues, the facilities toured were promising. “We are confident stakeholders will deliver in time,” he added.

This will be the first time Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania co-host a major football tournament, a significant step for the region.
