FKF drops ticket prices to rally fans behind Harambee Stars at Kasarani showdown
In a statement on Sunday, FKF announced that Gold category tickets for the September 9 match, set for 4:00 pm, will now cost Sh500 instead of the original Sh1,000.
The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has slashed ticket prices for the Harambee Stars’ final home qualifier for the 2026 World Cup in an effort to draw fans to Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.
In a statement on Sunday, FKF announced that Gold category tickets for the September 9 match, set for 4:00 pm, will now cost Sh500 instead of the original Sh1,000.

The federation added that the offer will only be valid until Monday at 4:00 pm.
"You've lit up Kasarani in every home game. Now, one last time — let's fill the stands and push @Harambee__Stars past Seychelles! Tuesday, 9 Sept | 4 pm | Kasarani," FKF said in a statement on X.
While Gold tickets have been discounted, prices for other categories remain the same: Regular tickets at Sh300, Silver at Sh500, VIP at Sh2,000, and VVIP at Sh5,000.
"No tickets will be sold at the venue," FKF added.
The Harambee Stars approach the fixture after a 3-1 defeat to Gambia on Friday. That result, coupled with Gabon’s 4-0 win over Seychelles on September 3, has ended Kenya’s hopes of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup. The team is now aiming to close their campaign on a positive note.
Concerns over low fan turnout, given Kenya’s elimination, are believed to have influenced FKF’s decision to lower ticket prices.
Since CHAN 2024 began in August, the Harambee Stars have played six matches at Kasarani, including their recent loss to Gambia. Tuesday’s clash with Seychelles could be the last chance for fans to watch top-level football at the stadium for some time.
After the Seychelles game, Kenya will continue their World Cup qualifiers away from home, facing Burundi on October 6 and Côte d'Ivoire a week later.
Meanwhile, Nyayo Stadium will host another qualifier on Tuesday, with The Gambia set to play Burundi at 10:00 pm.
