In his address, General Kahariri hailed Corporal Muchiri for his professionalism and commitment both on and off the pitch.

General Kahariri emphasised that the promotion was part of the Kenya Defence Forces’ broader effort to recognise and reward discipline, excellence, and talent beyond military service.
During the same function, the CDF also received an interim review report on Ulinzi Stars Football Club’s performance between 2020 and 2025. Brigadier Ahmed Saman, Chairman of the Review Committee, presented the report, which assessed the team’s tactical and technical capacity, coaching, player welfare, administration, and infrastructure.
The report also benchmarked the club against successful teams to recommend both short- and long-term measures aimed at enhancing competitiveness and strengthening management structures.
General Kahariri assured full KDF support for the implementation of the recommendations, stressing that Ulinzi Stars must remain a strong force in football while embodying the discipline and values of the Defence Forces.
The ceremony was attended by senior military leaders, including Vice Chief of Defence Forces Lieutenant General John Omenda, Major General Edward Rugendo (Director Personnel and Logistics), as well as officers, service members, and Ulinzi Stars players.
