Kakamega Homeboyz ended their three-match winless run with a commanding 2–0 victory over Posta Rangers at Bukhungu Stadium.
Homeboyz started brightly, creating early chances through Thiongo, John Omondi, and Nyatini, but their efforts either missed the target or were denied by the woodwork. Rangers also had a scare when Caleb Olilo forced a brave block from Silas.
The breakthrough came in the 42nd minute. Rodgers Ouma reacted fastest to a loose ball inside the Rangers' box and calmly slotted home for his debut goal, giving Homeboyz a deserved lead at halftime.
In the second half, the hosts maintained control. Substitutes Henry Omollo and Hillary Juma made an instant impact. In the 80th minute, Omollo set up Juma with a clever cut-back, and Juma finished cleanly to make it 2–0. Homeboyz stayed solid until full-time, sealing a confidence-boosting win after recent struggles.
1–1 draw
Murang’a Seal and Shabana played out a 1–1 draw in a spirited derby at St. Sebastian Park. Shabana struck early after a deflection in the Seal box fell kindly for the visitors, who took a 1–0 lead inside five minutes.
Seal responded well, gradually taking control with confident passing and constant pressure. Their efforts paid off on the half-hour mark when Tony Musa delivered a perfect cross, and John Kiplangat rose highest to head home the equaliser.
The hosts remained the stronger side, creating several chances through Osama Haki, Omondi, and others, but could not find the winner.
Seal made attacking substitutions and pushed hard late into the game, while goalkeeper Munyovi stood firm whenever Shabana threatened. In the end, both teams settled for a point, leaving Seal frustrated after failing to convert their dominance into victory.
AFC Leopards had to come from behind to secure a 1–1 draw against Kariobangi Sharks at Kasarani Stadium.
Shot off target
Ingwe had the first chance when Kinyanjui shot off target, but Sharks responded quickly. In the 8th minute, a swift counter-attack ended with Humphrey Aroko firing the hosts ahead.
Sharks continued to pose a threat, forcing Katasi into a big one-on-one save, while Leopards struggled to create clear opportunities in the first half. Coach Fred Ambani was booked after protesting a foul on Kinyanjui as frustrations grew.
The second half saw an improved Leopards' performance. Substitutions made an impact, and in the 60th minute, a Kelly Madada header was cleared off the line. Seconds later, the breakthrough came. Victor Omune rose highest to head in a well-delivered free-kick, pulling Ingwe level.
Leopards pushed for a winner, but Sharks held firm. Both sides shared the points, a result that leaves Leopards still searching for the consistency needed to climb up the table.
