A 2-1 comeback victory away to Muhoroni Youth at Kisumu's Mamboleo Stadium on Monday has seen Shabana revive hopes of featuring in the FKF Premier League next season.

At 28 points and with a better goal difference in 15th place, Muhoroni Youth had also dragged Sofapaka thick into the relegation survival battle but their failure to hold on to a win in the second half has denied them the temporary relief the result would have given them. Sofapaka are currently 15th with 28 points.
Instead, it is Shabana who now have a more hopeful outlook for the coming matchdays as, with 24 points in 17th place, they are now just a point behind Muhoroni Youth.
Round 27 promises more twists in the relegation survival battle as Muhoroni Youth travel to Murang'a Seal while Shabana host Kakamega Homeboyz. Sofapaka, who now have to look over their shoulders, will be playing away to the high-flying Kenya Police FC.
