Suspected Al-Shabaab militants have killed six police officers and injured four others at the Macawisley camp in Hagardera Sub-Location, Garissa County.

The report states that security personnel were deployed to pursue the attackers.
"The injuries are treated at the International Rescue Committee (IRC) hospital and joint officers are pursuing the attackers," the police report says.
The report further stated that the Al-Shabaab militants are holding grounds after creating several bases and they have reconnaissance and surveillance outposts around Fafi Sub-County.
According to the BBC, no group has claimed responsibility, but Garissa County Commissioner Mohamed Mwabudzo said the style of the attack followed a pattern of raids by Al-Shabaab insurgents.
The bodies of the victims were ferried to Hagardera for burial.
Macawisley is a state-sponsored community vigilante armed group that was created to combat Al-Shabaab militants in the hot spot areas in the north eastern region.
