According to reports, the driver is Brian Kiplimo, a Kenyan national who moved to Dubai just two months ago for the job.
The footage, captured on a dashboard camera, begins with Kiplimo engaging a client while seated in the vehicle’s driver's seat. The two agree on the trip, and the passenger enters the vehicle, taking the back seat directly behind the front passenger.
After several minutes of travel, the passenger shifts to the seat directly behind the driver. It is at this point that he allegedly makes unwanted sexual advances, placing his hands on Kiplimo in what appears to be non-consensual contact.
When the driver resists, the passenger becomes aggressive, putting him in a chokehold. Kiplimo cries out and shouts in distress, but the passenger orders him to “shut up,” warning, “you want to die?”
Desperate, Kiplimo struggles to breathe before forcing his way out of the moving car. Visibly shaken, he stands on the road in shock as the attacker jumps into the driver’s seat and drives off with the taxi.

One user wrote, “Damn! You’re just out there trying to make an honest living, and then this happens to you. I hope the attacker was arrested.”

Social media users have urged the Kenyan government to take swift action against the attacker and ensure Kiplimo’s safety.
