Ruto honours Kristina Kenyatta, Dorcas Oduor, William Kabogo with EGH awards

President Ruto highlighted that these awards honour individuals who have rendered distinguished and outstanding services to the nation across various capacities and responsibilities.

President William Ruto has conferred the Elder of the Order of the Golden Heart (EGH) title to several distinguished Kenyans in recognition of their outstanding service to the nation.

In Gazette Notice No. 18367 published on December 11 2025, President Ruto awarded the Second Class EGH, one of Kenya’s highest honours, to individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to national development and leadership.

Recipients of the Second Class EGH include Dr Pratt Kristina Kenyatta, the sister of former President Uhuru Kenyatta and Chairperson of the National Fund for the Disabled. She was recognised for her long-standing advocacy and public service. Oduor Dorcas, Kenya’s first female Attorney General, received the award for her role as a high-ranking executive officer.

President Ruto highlighted that these awards honour individuals who have rendered distinguished and outstanding services to the nation across various capacities and responsibilities.

“In recognition of distinguished and outstanding services rendered to the nation in various capacities and responsibilities, I, William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces, confer Awards and Honours to the following persons,” President Ruto said in the gazette notice.

Other who were honoured are ICT CS William Kabogo, Trade CS Lee Kinyanjui, Enviroment CS Barasa Deborah Mlongo, Narok Governor Ole Ntutu Patrick Keturet, and businessman Jaffer Mohamed Husein for his substantial contributions to Kenya’s economy.

The conferment of the Second Class: Elder of the Order of the Golden Heart underscores Kenya’s commitment to recognising exceptional leadership and service, celebrating individuals whose contributions have had a lasting impact on the nation.
