KUCCPS announces fresh KMTC intake for 29 courses

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has opened additional admission slots for 29 courses at the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC)
In a notice on Sunday, November 3, the placement service said eligible students have until November 10, 2024, to submit their applications via the KUCCPS website, giving them a week to finalise their entries.

The new slots span eight certificate courses and 21 diploma courses, distributed across various KMTC campuses nationwide.
KUCCPS highlighted that eligibility for the programs is based on minimum grades: students with a mean grade of C or C- can apply for different courses according to their qualifications.
Some of the available certificate programs include Community Health Assistant, Health Records and Information Technology, Kenya Enrolled Community Health Nursing, Certificate in Public Health, Certificate in Orthopedic Trauma Medicine and Medical Emergency Technician, each requiring a minimum of a C-.
Additionally, those with a grade of D+ can apply for the Certificate in Nutrition and Dietetics, while a diploma option for the same field is open to applicants with a C-.
Diploma requirements
Diploma courses generally require a mean grade of C plain, with some restricted to specific campuses.
For example, a diploma in Community Oral Health is offered exclusively at Mosoriot Campus, Health Promotion at Nyahururu, Kenya Registered Nursing at Mathare, Orthopaedic Technology at Port Reitz, and Mortuary Science and Radiography and Imaging at Mombasa Campus.
The remaining 15 diploma courses are distributed across other county campuses. Such include a diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery, a Diploma in Community Health, a Diploma in Health Counselling, a Diploma in Health Insurance Management, a Diploma in Health Records and Information Technology, a Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing and a Diploma in Medical Engineering which require a minimum of grade C plain.
KUCCPS has directed interested applicants to apply via the KUCCPS student portal.
“Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) invites applications for placement in various programmes offered at Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC). Interested and eligible persons should log into the KUCCPS students Portal (students.kuccps.net) and apply. The application deadline is November 10, 2024,” reads the notice.
