Nairobi United secure FKF Premier League slot

Nairobi United are headed to the top flight. A 2-1 comeback win over 3K FC at Dandora Stadium has confirmed their promotion to next season’s FKF Premier League with three games to spare.
Nairobi United have officially earned promotion to the 2025/26 Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League after a decisive 2–1 win over 3K FC at Dandora Stadium on Saturday.
Trailing early after Ronald Karenwa’s 12th-minute strike for 3K FC, Nairobi United responded through Frank Ouya, who levelled the score just before the break. Ouya later netted the match-winner in the 78th minute, sealing the comeback and confirming United’s place in next season’s top division.
The victory lifts Nairobi United to 66 points, 11 ahead of second-placed APS Bomet who have a game in hand, ensuring they cannot be caught with only three fixtures remaining.

Under the guidance of head coach Nicholas Muyoti, Nairobi United have put together an impressive campaign with 19 wins, 9 draws and just 4 defeats. They have found the net 48 times and conceded only 22 goals.
The club, originally founded in 2015 as Balaji EPZ FC, was renamed Nairobi United FC in 2022. A major turning point came in September 2024 when Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja, through the Sakaja Foundation, acquired the team and promised to invest in youth development, infrastructure, and recruitment.
Their ambitions extend beyond the league. Nairobi United are also into the semi-finals of the FKF Cup, having eliminated top-tier side Kakamega Homeboyz with a 2–0 win in the last eight.
