Fear, uncertainty grip families of four missing men from Mlolongo as police probe drags on

Steven Mbisi Kavingo, Martin Nyuko Mwau, Kalabi Mwema, and Justus Mutumwa Musyimi were taken on December 16 and 17, 2024, under mysterious circumstances.

The families of four men abducted in Mlolongo 22 days ago are living in fear and uncertainty as they await answers about their loved ones.

Steven Mbisi Kavingo, Martin Nyuko Mwau, Kalabi Mwema, and Justus Mutumwa Musyimi were taken on December 16 and 17, 2024, under mysterious circumstances.

Despite reporting the incidents to Mlolongo Police Station and the DCI offices in Athi River, the families claim no substantial progress has been made in locating them.

Steven Mbisi, 35, was reportedly abducted from his home in Kathangaita after showering.

His wife, who was in the bedroom at the time, recounted the incident.

"On Wednesday 18th ndio alibebwa huyo Steve... wako wanaume wanne, wote ni marafiki, wote wanafanya biashara," she said.

This loosely translates to "On Wednesday, December 18, Steve was taken... there are four men; they are all friends and all run businesses".

Neighbours also recalled the shocking moment of Mbisi's abduction.

"Four men came, one dressed in blue, another in pink, and another in red, and they took him, but we didn't notice it was something urgent. The men were wearing caps and masks, so you couldn't recognise anyone, and you wouldn't even think of recording because it all happened so quickly," said a neighbour.

" One of them came with a car and parked. Some were already waiting below and approached on foot. The driver stopped the car, and when it came to a halt, the four got in closed the doors, and sped off."

The day before Mbisi's disappearance, his three friends, Martin Mwau, Kalabi Mwema, and Justus Mutumwa, were abducted under similar circumstances.

The families remain distraught, fearing the worst as days turn into weeks without any word.

Despite police assurances that investigations are ongoing, no information has been provided about the whereabouts or well-being of the missing men.
