By Mary Wambui |
The Commission has launched investigations with a view to taking appropriate action against the persons behind the fake letter.
The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has neither summoned The Eastleigh Voice reporter Hanifa Adan nor is it investigating her M-changa fundraising activities as purported by a fake letter doing rounds on social media.
"This letter is fake and is not from EACC," the commission confirmed on Tuesday.

Hanifa, has been fundraising and assisting persons injured during the ongoing anti-government protests as an active citizen via the M-changa platform for a while now, funds which directly leave the platform to the victims' hospital accounts directly.

The letter bearing all the hallmarks of falsehoods is seen as an attempt to taint the work she is doing for the benefit of Kenyans and an act of intimidation.
While she has laid bare all the transactions done on the M- changa account, the same can be audited by the CBK through the Financial Reporting Centre (FRC).
