Temperatures in Nairobi and the surrounding areas will range from a chilly 10°C to a more moderate 25°C.
The Kenya Meteorological Department predicts occasional rain in Nairobi and surrounding counties from Saturday, August 24, to Wednesday, August 27. During this time, residents should expect frigid temperatures and intermittent showers, which will have a considerable impact on daily activities.
David Gikungu, Director of the Kenya Meteorological Department, stated, "Intermittent cold and cloudy conditions are expected over some parts of the Highlands East and West of the Rift Valley, the South-eastern lowlands, and the Rift Valley."

Neighbouring counties like Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang'a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, and Tharaka, will see scattered showers throughout Saturday. Cloudy conditions will persist on Sunday, with afternoon showers and a chance of rain continuing into the night. Though brief sunny intervals may occur, this pattern is expected to continue on Monday and Tuesday.

Cloudy weather will dominate on Saturday and Sunday in the southeastern lowlands, including Kitui, Makueni, Machakos, Kajiado, and Taita Taveta. However, Monday and Tuesday are forecasted to be partly sunny, with a likelihood of rain on Tuesday night. Temperatures here vary between a chilly 9°C and a more comfortable 31°C.
The Highlands West of the Rift Valley, including Siaya, Kisumu, Homabay, Migori, Kisii, Nyamira, and other counties, will experience rainfall throughout the weekend. Expect showers and thunderstorms in the afternoons from Saturday to Wednesday, with Monday and Tuesday mornings providing sunny intervals. Wednesday is anticipated to be particularly wet, with temperatures fluctuating between a chilly 7°C and a more comfortable 30°C.
Saturday will start sunny throughout the coast, including Mombasa, Tana River, Kilifi, Lamu, and Kwale, but will cloud over by evening.
From Sunday to Wednesday, residents should prepare for showers in the mornings and afternoons, with cloudy nights. Temperatures along the coast will range from a chilly 21°C to a warmer 32°C, reflecting the varied weather patterns expected throughout the week.
