The owners of two Public Service Vehicles (PSVs) seen driving recklessly on Thika Road in Makuyu have been summoned by the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) and the National Police Service (NPS).
The vehicles, identified as KBH 889H and KCF 996R, were captured on video engaging in dangerous driving, with passengers seen hanging out of the windows while the vehicles swerved and overtook other cars at high speed.

The footage, which quickly went viral on social media, has sparked outrage among Kenyans, many of whom have called for swift action to be taken against the owners and operators.
The video, taken by concerned motorists, also shows the vehicles emitting large clouds of smoke from their exhaust pipes, making it difficult to capture the number plates clearly.
Elizabeth Vivi, the Central Region Traffic Police boss, confirmed that the owners and operators of the vehicles have been summoned to present themselves to the Makuyu Police Station by the end of the day.
"We have summoned the owners. Failure to appear before the police to write a statement will lead to drastic action by NPS and NTSA," she said.

She added that once investigations are complete, the operators will be taken to court.
The incident comes amid heightened surveillance by the NTSA and the police across major highways in the country, particularly during the festive season, when road safety is of heightened concern.
Over the weekend, several motorists who were caught flouting traffic rules were arrested, and they are expected to appear in court this week.
NTSA also issued a statement on social media, condemning the reckless behaviour captured in the viral video.
" This is unacceptable. The owners of the PSVs have been summoned. We will take action," the statement read.
With many Kenyans travelling for the holidays, the authorities have increased monitoring on key roads to curb accidents, which have often spiked during the festive period.
The call for accountability comes at a critical time, as road safety remains a major concern for the public and law enforcement.
