His plea comes barely three weeks after suspected members of Al Shabaab militia destroyed a Safaricom mast at Dasheq in Elben ward.

“Our community is enduring sleepless nights and it’s high time we unite to protect and reassure their safety," said Yussuf.
He appealed to the area MP Hussein Abdi to spearhead efforts in addressing the escalating insecurity cases in the area.
“We implore you to step forward, visit the affected areas and lead the charge against the recurring terrorist threats." he urged the area MP.
The county assembly member claimed that the Kenya Police Reservists recruited to tackle insecurity in the area were not well equipped and were lacking in motivation due to salary issues.
He called for immediate attention and proactive measures towards reports from the local community on the threats.
In his plea for intervention, the MCA implored the national security organs to urgently address the concerns of the community.
“As a concerned resident and the area MCA for Elben ward I cannot ignore the escalating insecurity that plagues our people's daily lives,” he stated.
His plea comes barely three weeks after suspected members of Al Shabaab militia destroyed a Safaricom mast at Dasheq in Elben ward.
Speaking to The Eastleigh Voice on Sunday, the MCA said several Safaricom masts situated in his ward were likely to be attacked due to the increased presence of the militants.
He said the militants were derailing the development of the Tarbaj sub-county, especially in the communication, health and education sectors.
