According to official statements to state media, the operations also resulted in the deaths of more terrorists and the capture of 10 militants who were responsible for public disturbances in the Bar Sanguuni area.
Nearly 19 Al-Shabab militants were slain near Bar Sanguuni, which was a significant turning point in the campaign against the militants.
In all of Jubbaland and the rest of the nation, the SNA is intensifying its offensive operations against Al-Shabaab militants. The entire nation is conducting operations against al-Shabaab militants in response to President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud's declaration of total war against them.
During the initial phase of operations against Al-Shabaab, the group killed at least 3,000 operatives spanning the states of Hirshabelle and Galgadug. The Southwest states and Jubaland will be the sites of the second phase of operations against the al-Shabab.
In addition to conducting military operations, the government has made investments in tracing and identifying the militants' financial sources. Authorities shut down 250 bank accounts and 70 mobile money transfer companies linked to the insurgents' funding.
Social media pages and websites connected to terrorists in Alshabab have also been taken down by the authorities.
According to President Hassan Sheikh, the group would have suffered major setbacks in the nation by December 2024, when the Somali National Army assumed control of security duties.
