CS Kindiki dismisses One Man, One Vote, One Shilling approach to revenue sharing

By |

Kindiki dismissed the mantra as a mere cliché, lacking scientific principles and economic models.

Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki has sharply criticised the proponents of the "one man-one vote-one shilling" mantra, stating that they fail to comprehend its far-reaching implications for Kenya's future and its long-term impact on the regions they claim it will benefit.

Kindiki dismissed the mantra as a mere cliché, lacking scientific principles and economic models. He emphasised that it contradicts the constitutional ideals and values that form the foundation of the nation.

"The cliché is neither a scientific principle nor is it an economic model of any kind. It is a mantra picked from casual banter and will fall flat when juxtaposed with the constitutional ideals and values upon which our nation is founded," Kindiki wrote on X.

The CS reiterated that every part of Kenya is entitled to prosperity, not at the expense of others, but as an integral part of the whole.

He stressed that the destiny and success of Kenya are inextricably linked to the destiny and success of each region.

"We are one nation, under one flag, united as one people," he added.
