PS Omollo orders transfer of 117 Deputy Commissioners in wake of anti-govt protests

The move that coincides with the management of anti-government protests that have been happening across major towns countrywide.
The Principal Secretary for Internal Security Raymond Omollo has transferred 117 Deputy Commissioners from their current postings effective immediately.
The administrators who include three from Isiolo County, two from Garissa and two from the headquarters are required to report to their new postings by Thursday next week.

A memo authorised by the PS dated Friday does not state the reason for their transfers, a move that coincides with the management of anti-government protests that have been happening across major towns across the country.
"Release the officers to report to their new stations by July 24, 2024," the memo addressed to all regional and county commissioners and copied to the Human Resources officer at the Office of the President reads.
The administrators have been transferred as follows:
Martin Riungu Muriithi from OOP Headquarters to Bungoma North, William Kipngetich Bett from OOP Headquarters to Sabatia, Ronald O. Enyakasi from Matungu to OOP Headquarters, Buxton Abwasi Mayabi from Samburu (Kwale) to Mukaa, Dubat Hassan Mohamed from Garissa to Bothai.
Tobias Onyango Okoth from Nairobi to North Horr, John Kennedy Oroche from Kiambu to Turkana West, Walter K. Katonon from Nairobi to Isiolo, and Anne Nanjakho Wafukho from Nairobi to Gem Wagai.
David Lusava from Malindi to Marakwet West, Robert Mutisya Nzuki from Sololo to Rangwe, Margaret W. Mbugua from Igambang'ombe to Gatundu North, John Kichwen Birgen from West Pokot to Teso South, Patrick Kilonzo Ngoru from Mombasa to Samburu (Kwale) and Kennedy John Changandu from Kajiado to Mt. Elgon.
