A devastating incident unfolded in Rhoka Masabubu, Tana River County, as Hadija Kabi Mgawa lost her life after being struck by lightning while working on her farm. The tragedy occurred with her husband, Maro Kofa Jarha, present, who fortunately survived with minor burns. The sudden and shocking loss has left the community in grief, drawing expressions of sympathy and support from local leaders and residents.
The untimely death of Mgawa has created a profound void in the hearts of her family, friends, and neighbours. In a poignant display of solidarity, Tana River Senator Danson Mungatana, accompanied by his wife Mwanaisha Chizuga, visited the grieving family in Chewani Village to extend their heartfelt condolences.
