5 killed, 18 injured in Bomet road accident

A police report says a matatu rammed into a tractor.
Five people died and 18 were injured in an accident on Olonguruone-Silibwet Road in Bomet County on Monday.

A police report says a matatu rammed into a tractor at Salaek village.
"The matatu driver was heading from Olenguruone towards Bomet General. On reaching the location of the accident, he failed to keep to his lane and rammed into the tractor," the report says.

The injured were taken to Tenwek Mission Hospital while the wreckage was towed to the Bomet Police Station.
