Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka on Friday led other Azimio La Umoja affiliate parties in expressing their disinterest in forming a government of national unity with President William Ruto.
The opposition leaders, who comprised former Ndaragwa MP Jeremiah Kioni and former Defence Minister Eugene Wamalwa, dissociated themselves from the decision of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party to show willingness to work with Ruto.

Kalonzo directed members of other affiliates of Azimio to reject Cabinet slots by President William Ruto should they be appointed. "We urge our members not to accept any cabinet appointment by the president."

Kalonzo who briefly addressed the press at Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka (SKM) Centre said a move to appoint their members into cabinet is a betrayal to kenyan people who are opposed to the current regime's governance approach.
"Should any of our members join the cabinet then we shall dissociate ourselves with the decision," said Kalonzo.
After Ruto's announcement of half of his cabinet, Matungulu MP Stephen Mule said the president's decision was a big dissatisfaction, explaining that the protesters had wanted fresh names.
"The president's announcement is soo disappointing. I do not think it will help solve this crisis," said Mule.
The Wiper Party lawmaker said they are not ready for any talks with President William Ruto's administration, urging their members not to engage the government.
The Eastleigh Voice understands two Wiper MPs and a party leader within the coalition had been listed for appointment into the cabinet.
