Rwandan President Paul Kagame wooed world investors at a meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) on Sunday, urging them to explore Africa's vast and untapped potential.
He spoke at the opening plenary session of the WEF meeting in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, themed "New Vision for Global Development." A video of the session was published on Kagame's official YouTube channel.

The session brought together global leaders to discuss strategies for revitalising development and economic growth worldwide and explored avenues for reigniting momentum in development and economic convergence worldwide.
In his address, Kagame highlighted Africa's "immense capabilities and opportunities for growth," setting the tone for a productive conversation on the continent's role in shaping a more equitable and prosperous future for all.
He also noted the crucial need for global collaboration with Africa, citing the continent's vital contributions to international relations.
Further, the Rwandan leader highlighted the rapid growth of Africa's middle class and the importance of forging equitable partnerships that benefit all parties involved.
"By recognising Africa's increasingly important role in global affairs, the international community should work together to create a more inclusive and prosperous future for all," he said.
Drawing from Rwanda's experience, Kagame also illuminated the transformative power of investments in human capital, governance, and accountability.
He recounted his country's remarkable journey from adversity to prosperity, underscoring the significance of prioritising people-centric development strategies.
In advocating for Africa's rightful place on the global stage, Kagame called for "a paradigm shift in perceptions and attitudes towards the continent" and emphasised the "importance of dispelling stereotypes and fostering a more nuanced understanding of Africa's diverse realities."
President Kagame also highlighted the vitality of human capital development in achieving sustainable growth and development.
He stressed that investing in education, healthcare, and technology is crucial for empowering individuals and promoting inclusive prosperity.
"By developing human capital, Africa can unlock its full potential and create a brighter future for all its citizens," he said.
